True Power & Its Purpose

Why I Do What I Do

There is a part of me that is terrified of putting myself and the deep inner workings of my creative journey out into the world. There is a part of me that cannot wait and wants to get it all out yesterday.

As the Full Moon approaches, I am giving myself time to sit and allow my internal committee to be heard, especially the critical voices within that say,

"If you shine too brightly, they're gonna hate you.

You're opening yourself up to be a target.

You'll make people feel bad if they don't have what you do.

What will they say?

They won't understand.

They'll try to tear you down.

You just want attention.

All you think about is yourself.

What's the point?

What is it all for anyway?"

Well, what IS it all for?

It is for this planet, which I am here to serve by promoting and helping to cultivate deeper connection between nature and humanity.

It is for the people who, like me, have struggled with being in a body in a culture that does not widely value authenticuty, vulnerability and freedom of creative expression. If I can heal, so too can they.

It is for the little girl inside of me with so much to say, so much wisdom to share, who has been shushed and shamed and told not to call attention to herself for so long that I've blocked the flow of my oracular channel to the point that I live in almost constant emotional and physical pain.

It is for the messages that need a voice and are begging to be set free.

It is for the woman that I am, in celebration of the journey I have been on that has brought me to this place of loving and accepting all aspects of myself and allowing the parts of me that I hold most sacred to be seen.

It is for every woman in my lineage and beyond who has had to make herself small in fear of what the neighbors might think.

It is for the Earth, the Air, the Water, the Fire and the Spirit that moves through all.

I shine.
You shine.
We shine.
